A few years before she died she had a malignant tumor removed from her back, but it didn’t worry her (unfortunately) and nobody thought any more about it.

Eva Cassidy died in 1996, from melanoma, the most deadly form of skin cancer. Her music was little-known during her 33 years of life, but today her soul-stirring voice is reaching people all over the world.

Melanoma

My daughter had this successfully removed from her back in 2009.

She was diagnosed on June 22 nd and had the surgery on July 15 th.

The scar it left…picture taken July 2011

With utmost concern~ I urge anyone that has a mole that has changed in size or looks like the picture before surgery.

Please see a doctor. It could mean life or death.

This is very serious.

  1. Hi Cyn. Your post on Somewhere Over the Rainbow was very touching. I pray your daughter is well and is in complete remission. How terrifying that must have been for you both.
