Jumping ahead, to sometime around 1847 ‘ ole’ auntie Janie Woolery marries a man named Charles Younger. They have a son, Coleman on March 21, 1848. He goes on to become the infamous outlaw and gunslinger Cole Younger, who teamed up with Jesse James, forming the James-Younger gang.

Whoa~ I just set my recorder to get this show. My ancestors on my mother’s side of the family…Grimes, Bell, Younger, Goodner, Hoffman, Smith. Ancestors from Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama.

The Youngers. We are related to Jesse James too… interesting.
