Scorpio 2013

Year of the Water Snake

It’s a progressive year for you, Scorpio. 2013 is bright with intrigue, knowledge, growth and transformation. Past work or projects can be fruitful this year. Imagination flows, ideas are creative and life is bright with potential. Trends turn to elegance, culture, travel and sensuality. It’s a renaissance year, and you’re in your element.

In the Year of the Water Snake, you’re a smooth operator. Your passionate nature finds expression, and your Water element flows in harmony with that of the graceful Snake year. The Snake’s fixed element, Fire, stirs ambition and motivation, balanced by reason and cool rationale. You make swift and steady progress this year.

You’re tenacious, hard-working and independent. Your survival skills are keen. You can move the earth to get what you want, but it’s usually not necessary. Your charismatic charm can melt even the coldest heart. Your capacity for self-expression is enormous. You love deeply and passionately. You have an offbeat and sometimes cynical sense of humor, a vigorous sex drive and remarkable eyes.

Your intuition is usually accurate. You have colorful dreams and a rich imagination. The past is important to you. Your powers of healing and recuperation are good. You have a unique and multi-faceted life philosophy. You’re a complex thinker, but can be prone to worry, obsession or anxiety. You may have a fiery temper. You can be overly suspicious, and sometimes just plain paranoid. You have an infuriating stubborn streak.

Your desire for knowledge is unquenchable. You value honesty.

Whatever you do, you do with all your heart.

In the Year of the Snake, still waters run deep. Take nothing for granted. Avoid acts of impulse or vengeful thinking. Choose compassion over aggression. 2013 is not a good year for gambling, speculation or blind leaps of faith. Poor communication and breaches of trust can have severe repercussions. You’re wise not to worry about problems, as obsession and anxiety can make you sick. Instead, focus on solutions. Do not dwell in the past.

Spirit of Cat

The Spirit of Cat brings sensual indulgence, patience and playfulness into your life. Cat energy heightens the physical senses, and enhances magical energies and psychic awareness.

A natural hedonist, Cat loves luxury and can sleep all day, but pounces with deadly precision when the moment is right. When attuned to mystical Cat energy, you will know exactly when to act, and when to bide your time.

The Spirit of Cat also invites you to free your “inner kitten” and play. Just as kittens learn life skills while playing, you can use playtime to learn something new.

Too much Cat energy can have negative consequences, such as procrastination and lethargy.

The pursuit of pleasure can interfere with other issues in life. Enjoy Cat energy and indulge your desires, but maintain a healthy balance.

Rising Like the Phoenix for this Scorpio Full Moon

I was getting ready to do an article on tomorrow’s Super Full Moon in Scorpio. My fellow Scorpio pretty much covered the subject. Thanks J.

From “J”:

This full moon is happening in a new cycle for 2012. May is a “1″-new beginnings month for 2012. So we all are feeling this Phoenix rebirth. We have all been prepared for this moment. Intensity is about to be amped up and Scorpio is there to teach you that intensity is nothing to run away from and you are fully equipped to handle it.

Medusa is the archetypal Scorpio, 8th house, and Pluto Myth and is part of their journey.

The snake headed Medusa was a symbol of horror, and originally she was a beautiful woman, and now represents all the wickedness, vindictiveness, hatred, terror and brutality in human nature. Reflection is necessary and the light of consciousness to deal with the intense emotional sphere of the 8th house. When we are in the grip of these emotions we are often thought to lose our head” and all rationality.

North Node Taurus

North and South Node Information

NN Taurus in 3 rd House

North Node in the 3rd House

The universe is encouraging you to play up your North node sign traits in these areas of life.

Consider the following: allow yourself room for lots of new learning experiences.

Play up anything that relates to the communication of your ideas. Gather and share information as a continuous process of learning. Become an integral part of your immediate community and the neighborhood you live in. Get yourself out and about.

Enjoy some new scenery by car, bus, train, bicycle or whatever appeals to you.
Stay in touch with and honor the relationship you have with relatives, such as aunts, uncles, siblings. cousins, etc.

HOUSE 3: The Mind

The Taurus energy you’re learning about in this lifetime resonates strongly to the old saying “What you see is what you get.” Actually, let’s tweak that phrase a little to read “What you see – and touch – and can use – is what you want to get.” That really nails down the kind of information that Taurus is best at accumulating and sharing. Not for you lots of high-fallutin’ theoretical pie-in-the-sky mumbo jumbo. The world needs that kind of thinking, but it’s someone else’s department. It also needs your kind of thinking: “how to” ideas; practical ideas; concrete, realistic and reliable ideas; useful ideas.

With your Ninth House South Node in the sign of Scorpio, you’ve spent lifetimes grappling with deep philosophical questions, diving into the core of life’s meaning, intently focused on what lay below the surface of existence.

It was hard to come up out of those waters long enough to bring what you found to light and have it have any useful application in the “real” world. If you’re not careful, the pull of that karmic past can be strong enough to keep you swimming in those dark circles in this lifetime, when what you can see and touch and experience and use is the real order of business.

What you see is what you get. And give.

The way a plant reaches for light, in our 3rd house, we reach for the world with our minds.

The 3 RD House

Taurus is one of the fixed signs comprising the Cherubim.
The cherubim had the head of a bull (Taurus), the head of a lion (Leo), and the head of an eagle (Scorpio), as well as a human head (Aquarius).

The North Node is your “Cup Runneth Over” and the South Node is “the drain” . . or “hole in your chart” . . or more popularly known as the “Bottomless Pit”. Simply put, when you put energy into your North Node you cannot fail and your cup will run over. When you put energy into your South Node, the energy falls through like a hole in your pocket. No matter how much energy you put into the South Node it will be a drain, like the drain in the bathtub without a stopper and it will become a bottomless pit. The South Node is that which you have already done in past lives and there is absolutely no need to relive it because you already have the experience and knowledge. The North Node is that which you need to migrate to having everything you need (the South Node) to get there. While you may not feel as though you’d be successful living as a North Node (the sign below) . . believe me, you will be because you cannot fail. You can be fearful and not do it because you haven’t done it before but you’ll always feel a lack or longing to do something and THAT IS your North Node.

Relationships with someone who is the sign of your South Node will also prove to be a drain and it is certainly not a romantic relationship that I would advise. This will also explain why Sun/South Node relationships are nothing but draining to your spirit. Just knowing this information should help ease the energy and take a load off.

2012 Retrogrades and Mutable Zodiac Signs — Daykeeper Journal

Who picks up the plot at this point? None other than the Fixed signs—Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. This group is known for longevity, work ethic and loyalty. They have more endurance than the Energizer Bunny, stubbornly plodding along through force of will or habit. Eventually, though, even the Fixed signs have to hand over the reins to the Mutables, the final sign in any season. Pity the Mutables, whose dual duty it is to integrate the season that is ending, while at the same time prepare for the season that is yet to come. Job qualifications include flexibility and juggling ability.

Sequential Numbers

To your mind, is this a coincidence, or are they too frequent to be random? Perhaps you are puzzled or amused by this phenomenon?

Spirit Guardians

4:44 is another good one. see this one often.

444 is a very powerful number. It means that your angels are by your side and want the very best for you. They are asking that you pay attention very carefully to the signs that you see around you.

“They are numbers of trust, an Angel on your shoulder”

You have nothing to fear, all is well.”

There is no doubt in my mind that when you see this beautiful set of numbers, it is great cause to celebrate.

Our angels will nudge us awake at that time, or get us to look now at this set of numbers (or other meaningful numbers), providing us with this Divine message. If you suddenly find yourself waking at 4:44 a.m., consider yourself blessed. Your angels probably woke you.

Or if you suddenly look at the clock, when you really didn’t care to know the time, and it’s 4:44, you probably were whispered to do so.

You may be wondering what all these different set of numbers in triplicate mean. Numerology is the study of numbers and every number carries a certain energy and vibration, and thus meaning.

In Doreen Virtue’s book on Angel Numbers, she describes the meaning of 444 as, “Thousands of angels surround you at this moment loving and supporting you. You have a very strong and clear connection with the angelic realm, and are an Earth angel yourself. You have nothing to fear, all is well.”

Totem – Snake

Researching, and realized my birth totem is the Snake. In Tangiers I was attracted to Cobra’s and took many pictures of them. When I returned home I brought a statue of a Cobra with red beaded eyes that was given too me as a gift.
During this time I played the ouija board and the cobra’s eyes actually glowed. It frightened me at the time and I threw it out a third floor window.I never retrieved it.

Plant Totem: Thistle
Directional Totem: Grizzly Bear
Elemental Clan Totem: Frog
Affinity Color: Orange
Personality Traits: purposeful, determined, imaginative, intense, impulsive, mysterious, discerning, ambitious, clear, decisive

Because of its ability to periodically shed its skin, the snake represents transformation, change, and renewal. And those born with Snake as their birth totem are inclined to shed their skins by way of making dramatic, and sometimes drastic, changes in their lives from time to time, letting go of their current ties and attachments, and starting again anew. They may make sudden decisions such as to quit their job, or change their occupation, or sell their house, or move to a new city, or totally reinvent themselves. Sometimes, however, they make these changes at inopportune times, thereby causing unnecessary upset and suffering to themselves as well as to others.

Change isn’t necessarily always easy for Snake people, but they are adaptable to anything that is new to them. For Snake people, their lives are usually a lifelong transformation. They may start out making changes that are for purely selfish reasons.
However, as the Snake person goes through life, their selfish changes will usually eventually transform into more constructive changes which benefit not only themselves, but others as well. Snake people may also start out as insensitive and hurtful towards others, (see note below) but then their ability to wound will usually turn into the ability to heal. Snake people can be especially helpful to those suffering from alcoholism or drug abuse.

It has taken me many years to feel the power of the Phoenix.I was that Scorpion on the ground, stinging anything and everything that got in my way 🙂
Including myself.
When I knew the Dark Nights of my Soul were killing me I aspired to be a Eagle and fly free.
Blogging has opened up a new way of expressing myself.

At present I am in the process of slowing my incessant Chatter in my brain.

I feel like an Energized Bunny devouring an encyclopedia at times.

My sister always says “You are a open book”
My reply is “all the better to read and understand”
Sometimes I feel I am just getting started figuring out the real me.
You know what?
The Journey never ends.

My personal totem has always been the Dragonfly

Now that I am older I am drawn to the Phoenix

Totem – Snake.
