Blog Time Out

This is an PNG file and works great in emails on white background. It is floating. Here, not so. It has a WHITE Background and BOX around it.

I received a message in a dream last night. I was in the shallow Mangroves at Snipes Point. It was a beautiful day. The skies were blue and the bellowing clouds seemed to speak too me. I kept hearing the words~Time and Out.

So, I am heeding the advice.

Be Back Soonish I am sure Smile

This is an PNG file and works great in emails on white background. It is floating. Here, not so. It has a WHITE Background and BOX around it. I do not like the BOX. My WordPress THEME (iTHEME2 THEME) used to have the option in customize to make it Light or Dark. White on black, or black on white. Now it is just the dark. I never cared for the light but it would make the transparencies pop more. It’s my favorite theme since I made it my own. So, I do not want to change it.

I am really hating these border crossings

I’m trying new learning curves and the best way to do it.

Lots of Trials and Errors.

Oh and I know about the code to take out the box.

Photo from where you uploaded it too. Copy the html and insert.

See, it looks see through when I write the post than after posting has the box around it and dark background. I am too confused. My brain is dead.

I feel like my hamster on his wheel running in circles. It’s a gif file so he runs the wheel.

The Traffic Light Rule of Interaction

I know for a fact I talk too much. I’ve been told to Shad Up on more than one occasion.

Wine really brings it out of me, like the intensity of water cascading from a waterfall.

I just have so many stories, experiences.

My dad was a great story teller. I could listen for hours the way he described situations. I miss his spirit, his enthusiasm for life.

His laughter.

Starfish – Saving One Makes All the Difference in the World

Today is my daughter’s 45 th Birthday.

As I mentioned in an prior blog   18 Wheels to Key West  she was my Starfish thrower and she saved me when she hypothetically threw me back in the ocean.

It reminds me of that song by Pink Floyd  “Wish You Were Here”

Excerpt from lyrics:

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We’re just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.

I was that lost soul.

I have been clean since 1998. I arrived in Key West in 92.  Needlessness too say old habits die hard sometimes. I backslid on numerous occasions.

She was still in my corner.

We’re like Starfish…saving one makes all the difference in the world

The Starfish Story

Kids_Visit_12-Starfish

adapted from The Star Thrower
by Loren Eiseley (1907 – 1977)

Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.

He came closer still and called out “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”

The young man paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”

“I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” asked the somewhat startled wise man.

To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”

Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, “But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”

At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, “It made a difference for that one.”

The opal starfish is a replica of the starfish ring, that now resides on her finger that I also gifted her with.

I designed this for her and put it in a beautiful frame.

The Planet Mars…

Mars gets too me in ways I feel overwhelmed at times. I can be so intense and that intensity when it comes to debates, sex, enthusiasm gets over charged at intervals. I really try to be less forceful, but my plutonium and Martian ways always seem too burst forth with little or no control. I mean well and have good intent, it just is taken the wrong way at times.

Sometimes I wonder if person’s really are listening…it seems if they were;  they would see what I was trying to say , not what they perceived me too say.

Life’s Canvas

I have been in a super creative mode and have neglected my blogging.

Dreams have been so intriguing. Seeing my loved ones that have passed on has been very insightful.

My design mode has set in. Birthdays, baby showers and other celebrations of life have triggered new designs and practical from the heart gifts.

I designed this for a five year old. I used rawhide for the handle, a pair of old jeans that I cut the pocket from. Added some heart beads. She loved it. I also made the little fabric lined jewelry box for her.

For the baby shower I burned a mix of lovely baby music and lullabies. I want to find the perfect frame for a photo creation I did in Photoshop. I have a few dandelion decals I will put on the frame. Sort of a 3-D effect should materialize Smile

I pasted the fairy on the picture and added my thoughts on blowing on a dandelion.

Source of originals unknown.

My sister is turning 67 and I designed this one for her.

Peace within, or your lack thereof, always affects those around you.
When you choose peace within, others see that they too have this choice.

This is a wonderful gift.
